PURCHASED THIS WHEN THE GRAND KIDS WERE HERE. THEY TOOK TURNS LOOKING UP JOKES THEY COULD TELL AS WE SAT AROUND ONE NIGHT. SOME WERE PRETTY FUNNY, SOME WENT OVER THEIR HEADS BUT WAS WORTH THE MONEY TO GIVEN THEM LAUGHS.
I read this book with my kids. We enjoyed quite a few of the jokes. Some were really corny, but for the most part it was good fun.
This book really followed its title. It was very child appropriate and honestly, I have no complaints! I highly recommend this book to younger children or teachers with younger children
I figure you could never have too many jokes unless your kid decides to read them all to you at once, giving you pause to guess for each and every one, which is precisely what my kid did. Otherwise, this is a really nice joke book!
This book was really cute. One thing to note, I purchased it with the hope of contacting the author for permission to use a couple of the jokes, but there is absolutely NO contact info for the author or publisher.
I got this as a freebie and wasn't expecting much, but honestly, my granddaughter loves it. She is at the stage where she "gets" a play on words most of the time and it was fun going through it with her and seeing her eyes light up when she understood the joke. Warning, your conversations at meals will be filled with very corny jokes for a while... It is cute.
Recommended for kids, teachers, parents and grandparents. A fast read and a good memory test when you try to pull out a riddle on an unsuspecting kid. Although the title says jokes, it is really almost exclusively riddles, and usually the play on words kind. As a former teacher, I laughed (and sighed...) when I read this one What do you call someone who keeps talking even when no one is listening. Guess! And as a children's author (The Old Man and the C), I'll try to remember some of these riddles for my next book signing/reading.

No doubt everyone loves a good joke, including kids. Some, but not many of these jokes are old standards. There is a section, "Jokes that Make You Go Eeewwww!" that have what many people called potty jokes. If you are offended or don't want your child to read them, you may wish to pass. I'd probably recommend this for `tweeners and adults who like a good clean joke. Younger children will enjoy a lot of them as well as the assortment is quite well-chosen.
I read several of these to other people with a very positive response. "Hey, those aren't bad!" Everyone seemed to get a good chuckle out of them, if not an outright guffaw. Frankly, I was quite surprised at the reaction I got from some of these jokes. I've taken the liberty of copying one from each category, but am leaving out what I feel are the best ones. No need to spoil the fun. The jokes are mild and will suit a wide range of people. Not bad, not bad!
