The main character, Alex confused me sometimes. I should say that her reaction and interactions with the other supporting characters left me confused at times. One minute we're being introduced to a character, and in the next we're seeing that characters described as being a very different type of person; while the next encounter with them, portrays them as being widely known for a very different set of characteristics. As a reader, I was left feeling uncertain as to who Alex considered to be her true friends and who she simply tolerated or simply felt sorry for. Other than that though, I enjoyed the story and will immediately begin reading the next book in this series.Product details

This book is truly amazing and I love it so much, I would recommend this book to everyone. I did get the ARC version of this book (advanced reader copy.) The book really draws you in and is so addicting that once you start reading you can't stop. The book isn't just your average cliche where boy meets girl and they fall in love. This book shows adventure, mystery, and love. The book is like a roller coaster that you want to ride all day.
Vicious Depths is truly a great read. I was given an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) and it is one of the most enticing books I've read in awhile. The details are so vivid you think you're in the Depths yourself, and the charecters are so relatable you're able to feel sad or happy or upset along with them if something happen's to them. I would recommend this book to anyone.
Definitely would recommend this amazing novel. It's a refreshing, original story that is so addictive to read; the characters are highly realistic and I absolutely fell in love with them. There is the perfect balance of realism, humour and aspects of a mystery that suck you into the intriguing plot. The unorthodox take on the after life is explored extremely well and is a pleasant surprise because it gives fantasy a new twist. (I was given an Advanced Reader Copy).
I have a pretty strict 5-Chapter rule. If a book doesn't grab me by the fifth chapter, I know it's not worth wasting my time trying to force myself to choke the rest of it down. The writing style was good. Proper spelling and grammar and all that. Excellent editing. It's just that the plot was like trying to eat sawdust. It was dry, bland, and left me thirsty for something (anything) interesting to happen. I hope the best for the author and I'm sure others will like the series more than I did. It just wasn't for me.
A unique story with compelling characters. Best world building. I literally read this in one sitting! It was too good to put down.
(This is my stepdads account I'm a teenage girl lol) but I absolutely love love love this book!! It puts a different spin on stories and theories about the afterlife that a lot of people are already so familiar with which makes it super interesting. Also the characters are super well developed, it's captivating. I've read this book twice and I can never seem to put it down! 12/10 would recommend to everyone.
It took me a while to decide if I liked this story, I decided I do, even though I often found myself wanting to reach in the story and slap the protagonist(?). The characters are interesting and the glimpses into their first lives are believable. So off I go to steal enough money to buy the next volume.
