The Ballad of Aramei The Darkwoods Trilogy Book 3 eBook JA Redmerski
Adria and Isaac have their hands full, she is dealing with being a werewolf and trying to understand the bond she has uwittingly formed with Aramei. Isaac is worried about Adria and dealing with being the new Alpha has him on tenterhooks as he is desperately trying to find the traitor in their midst. These two threads set the main story line for the book and I was taken on an emotional roller coaster ride as they suspect and discount each pack member and ultimately shocked as the traitor is revealed. Plenty of twists and turns with revelations about Aramei's past and a valuable insight into the two men who impacted on her world. Isaac's father is such a cold ruthless monster that you love to hate yet I saw glimpses of his love for Aramei that humanised him yet they were fleeting. Each person had a role to play in this story and while the main focus was on Adria, Isaac and Aramei, the other characters were still well developed and I became invested in them. The final outcome was expected as about three quarters of the way through knowing Adria well by then, I suspected the ending yet the ramifications of her decision would still haunt her forever. I especially liked the closure at the end of the book tying up all the loose threads and the summation of what happened to the characters so you are not left hanging as some books tend to do. I really enjoyed this series and look forward to reading more books by this author.Tags : The Ballad of Aramei (The Darkwoods Trilogy Book 3) - Kindle edition by J.A. Redmerski. The Ballad of Aramei The Darkwoods Trilogy Book 3 eBook JA Redmerski Reviews
One of the best trilogy I had read..I read the whole trilogy on a weekend...Couldn't put it down...What a wonderful series about werewolf...I have read my share of lycanthrope story, one I love another I didn't care for, but "The darkwoods trilogy", is one of the best there is..It didn't have much action but when it did, it blow my mine away...Specially the final book, I was very skittish at the final show down...Going to miss all the characters..Even thou Ms. J.A. Redmerski ended the series, but she could had keep going with it..I see a Nathan story line and put Adria and Isaac as secondary characters and I could see a story for Harry as well...I highly recommend this series.. I just became a fan of Ms. J.A. Redmerski..I love this series..Wish there were more )
Unquestionably the best book in the series. My one and only complaint was the ending. I felt like there were so many doors left open to more books, which I would definitely enjoy reading after this book, but it's a trilogy, which means three books and seeing as how this was book three I'm just left confused. Is there a spin off series coming? There was a lot left to Alex or Nathan's story at the end...is she planning to take up a new series about one of them? And I really didn't like the last chapter of Adria's. I see the point of it in the story, but I just don't like the separation. After everything at least have them end together. That's what I mean by too many things left open for more in the story. The entire book though had me entertained and drawn in. I loved the story with Aramei and while I am still confused by the prison scene (what was the creature she saw), I really loved how well the story progressed and was written. Very nicely done. It's rare that a final book in a series is the best because its final and you either love or hate the last bits of a story, but this book definitely was the best in the series. Maybe I feel that way because the ending didn't feel so final with how things were left and I am holding out that I'll eventually get more to the story, but even if I don't, it was a great and entertaining read
By far one of the best books I've read this year.
It starts off right around were Kindred left off. Adria survived the Turn but she and Isaac still have to deal with an unknown traitor in their midsts. Not to mention that Trajan is becoming restless, wanting Adria to help him figure out what Aramei is trying to tell him.
I have to say that for such a long book, with more than a few storylines, the writing flowed seamlessly. I never felt like Redmerski was dragging out certain parts, but rather all the twists and turns in the story had me completely enraptured, to the point that I read this book in a day.
My favorite element in Redmerski's story were her characters. Adria was so strong and her willingness to do the right thing by everyone around her was touching. The love between her and Isaac kept a big smile on my face throughout the entire story. Isaac was so sweet and protective of Adria while at the same time still managing to be the tough Alpha. In this book he was more lovable than ever. My other favrite character was Nathan. Though he comes off as a goffball and ladies man, that is so not the case. His character was given a lot more depth in this installment, letting the reader see how loving, concerned and protective Nathan is about Adria, Isaac and his entire family. Other characters like Zia, Sebastian, Daisy and Harry play important roles, but I won't spoil them for you. What I will say is that Redmerski managed to shock me quite a few times. I was definitely not expecting some of the plot twists she dropped. Other characters are also re-introduced which was nice, seeing as it gave the reader a better sense of closure. Also, as the title states, Aramei gets one of the largest roles in the book. I won't say much about it though, lest to say there is a lot more to her and her past than what Sybil told Adria in the first book.
All in all this series was good, but out of the three, this book was fantastic! I couldn't put it down and my thoughts throughout the day never strayed far from this. As far as I'm concerned, this is a definite must buy!
